Another one found its way home.
« on: January 06, 2009, 01:16:58 pm »

I was out working in the shop and a guy stops in and says he`s got a baja he needs to get rid of cause he`s settling on a house the next day,  I said that I really didn`t want anymore late model projects ,He says oh its not, its a 57 oval!! BO** P#3 Not even a 1/4 mile down the road so...its gonna be a project and its ugly but its fixable..I`ll try to  post some picks later think it was a drag racer rather than off roader notube bumpers or lights, six point cage......... My disease is getting worse!!!

Too bad it an oval but what the heck! fix it up the way you want, I like the "side window" treatment.

The side window and dash forunately arent cut whoever did this just riveted and bondoed plates over the holes they did the same to the dash witch is un cut I already have an oval front clip lined up just have to find the rear and the $$$$$$$$$$W decklid. they bondoed over the fender seams too but its so old its peeling, car came from somewhere along the Pa/NJ BORDER sitting  since the mid 70s :)

I dont know yet, but the cross bar behind the seats has to go!! too damn old an fat to be crawlin through and over it. it is bolted to the body everywhere except the door bars they welded them to the original heater channels!!!!! @7@ I believe it was welded up in the car so its gonna take some creative  gifsawsall to get it out for use again. You get first shot if i dont want it. WA#

Tnx. Id actually take it in pieces. I have a body lift so any cage I buy would need to be modified. I just need a mock-up so i can have one built
