I'v got the tank out of the thing and all the doo-dads I need to put it back together, except the por-15. Gambralalalas was closed. I always found it odd that the speed shops were closed on one of the two days of the week the customers didn't have to work.

So anyway Jay and I went down to Dirks and walked in the mud.

Jay says hello Bob!

This kind of upset me. 2 corvairs 1 Vert! Motor was in it too. The hard top's motor was missing a head
I hate to see a desirable car, rotting away

Slurp......Drool........ !fright!

Too bad about the vairs! if by any chance that vert is a 69 it could be worth a fortune. Very desirable since they only made less than 7000 convertibles that year. If by some chance the motor was a 4 carbed 140hp and a 69 you could be talkin real big bux! supposedly  only a few were ever ordered with that combo since it wasn't an option for that year there are up there with the "Yenko Stinger".

Uncovered and drove the bugs up and down the road for their exercise. Recovered.

Cant even take mine out of the driveway. If there was any more salt on my street, they'd rename it bonneville and be setting speed records on it.

Was going to bring a rear fender inside and clean it up a little so I could fix a crack (fiberglass). It started to rain gl6 so I put it out in the driveway and let Mother Nature wash it for me. I1t

It was a great day for a ride. Trike started right up. To much mud outside the garage. Fooled around with a bracket for the clutch peddle. I got a free wind shield. I'm not sure how I want to mount it. I don't want to spend a lot of time on it, because I will take it off in early spring. I thought it would help when I come down for some Saturday breakfast.

Decided to get the GlowBug to be heard again on the road by workin on the horn. gifsawsall Figured I had a contact problem and was gonna need tons of time under the steering wheel. First, I pulled the horn, direct wire to 12v to test, sputtered a bit, then blasted its normal sound.  !fright! Crimped in new connections, bolted back on, tested, and ran back in the house to get my keys and go buy some lottery tickets at WaWa, because these easy fixes are rare  $61$

I replaced the weather stripping I put on my moon roof in the bug, it was leaking again. This time I used a thicker less foamy one and some super sticky double sided tape we use at work, it's super strong...  so we'll see how it goes next rain...
