Went over and talked to the paint shop guys Yesterday  bawlin)0

Found out how much it will cost to do the paint job on the 67 Bug  bugey--

They said this week about $1200, wait another month or two and under
$1000 .........  This is because right now all the Snow-Birds want
everything done right now !!!!!!  In two months everything in the desert
slows down and prices get cheaper  **^bana0 **^bana0 **^bana0

By then all the Snow-Birds have left town, and and they are looking
for business to take up the slack  :jump4jo":

So here is a picture of the 67 Bug, soon to be renamed the Ghost.

It?s a disgrace I tell ya, a sad disgrace that it took me so long to mail out Yuma?s cups. The poor guy, its probable he had heat stroke not having a cup to drink out of.

Relief is now on its way Sonny, I mailed your cups this morning priority mail so it would be on the next horse going out.

I also like your stripes, don't see that much anymore.

Had to make a trip to Action yesterday to pick up two F/A hoses for the bus to finish up the job. Except for a oil/lube and check tire pressure shes ready to roll to GGB!!!

Now that I have my mud flaps on the car this morning (after I got back from the post office) I started to sand the nicked up rear fenders for some paint today.

For all you guys at WORK, its a great day today, look out your windows at the nice warm sun. I'm even working on the Rod outside for the first time this year. Gota get back to the painting, just wanted to tell everyone how nice it is today. 7&7sun 7&7sun 7&7sun

Thanks for the heads up on the cup shipment Jack  :jump4jo": :jump4jo": :jump4jo":

As for the stripes, they are so badly weather checked that they feel like
really rough sand paper  &(rage_

After some minor body work and sanding, the stripes will be back in electric
blue metal flake over pearl white body.  Right now in the process of removing
the old, painted over fender welts.  Will replace them with new ones after
the paint job.  Will also replace all the rubber under the tail and parking
lights, and windshield rubber front and rear.

The more i look, the more i find that needs replacing  ?/banghea?/ ?/banghea?/

Just what did i get myself into  :confused04:;

Well, not a vw, but helped a friend in Jacksonville replace his stock exhaust on his new Camaro with a FlowMaster. Pretty cool wrenching bolts with no rust on em!
Oh well, back to the boring world of computers for one last day.

Yuma- after you get the body work done, one word- Maaco.

If you do all the prep including masking, they're actually not too bad and the cost is something a little easier to swallow.

Looked into Maaco, their closest shops are in San Diego
and Phoenix.  Both 160 miles from Yuma.  The shop
that all the guys here use is a local business, home
owned, and they do excellent work.   2@@cool 2@@cool 2@@cool
