Just take existing video & narrate it. Clips of shows, cruising, camping etc. If you are doing a documentary, you won't really use much of the video sound, and you really don't want to make it cheesy with too much music - IF your M.O. is a promotional video.

I had an idea put didn't get the chance to submit an actual script.

What I envisioned is a documentry.  Starting with a series of old pictures of your early days and the Screaming Yellow Zonker, your past experience, (60's music). I have some old VW pictures. Telling the story of how two guys only 3 miles apart came up with the same idea at almost the same exact time. Then fast forward the story to the club in it's early days perhaps show Prestige VW. Show press clippings. Interview some members and have them tell of their experiences with VW's - Then to events we do now. Show the engie rebuilding the welding classes, camping, shows, cruises, meetings, picnics and the Christmas party.

End it with a series of group shots -Titled "The club with the most laughs, best comrodrie and fun working members.    sjvwc.ico

flashing on VW themes in the media, like
a quick flash of some of the old ads
or even a short section with the scene from Woody Allens "Sleeper" when they find the old dub after years and it starts..

Hey think "Lemorris" he does lots with very little more than good camera shots & good music.

Quick Flash of old themes, Good idea!!

Think like Lemorris :icon_confused: I can't thats why I asked for help. :icon_cheesygrin:

Thinking along the same lines buddy. Write it up!

All of theses thoughts will fit in nicely, Just have to make two videos, one 10min. long for Utube and another longer one to play at events and show.

jack save your self the trouble make one video as long as you want and i can cut it into sections and post a part one and part two (or even three four and five on you tube.)

perfect style i think you are looking for would be the mix between the narrative and music like in the Endless Summer videos.  nice mix of music with a semi comical narrative.

Now I think I'm starting to get the idea of what Jacks thoughs are.

 Here's my two  2CENTS..  vwlogo
What about starting or opening with one of those old VW videos clips showing the cars being punched out at the factory in the early days, then bring the Eddie and the Cruises sound Track in like Tyler suggested where they say "We'll just A Couple Guys from Jerseey" From there the world is open to expose the SJVWC Screaming Yellow Gold Fish whoops Zonker, club members cars, videos  etc, etc. to the World Wide Dubs.
