Phoenixs' were cool! Definately a "Kit Car" in NJ. Built on a vw bus chassis. But they weren't kits... They were PLANS! it was made of urethane foam then fiberglassed... Like a surfboard. No 2 were alike

As far as purists are concerned I think they would have issues with that thing long before they got to the engine bay ;)
