Im with Jack.  In this area ATT has been by far the most reliable service I can find.

I have a crackberry from work and an iPhone for personal use.  I prefer the iPhone but I started with it first so Im more used to it I guess.   The crackberry collects dust since work never calls anyway.

. I was looking a I Touch today and its about $195 and If I got one my Rat would have even less of a chance of getting done.

iPod Touch is different from the iPhone, kinda, same features but no cellular, need to be in a wifi area for the connectivity to work.  If you just wanted a Touch and not an iPhone I could probably hook you up for some VWish help ;)  (like how to make a IRS transaxle hold 150-200 hp reliably)

Good to know, we're taking a spare or two just in case, it is a 24 hour race after all :)
