Getting Older
« on: December 31, 2011, 09:15:41 am »

Us  %$oldcit guys have had more time to build things! I'll have more picts of the Nigel project soon, been working on the 1641 with the Bugspray Holley!

I didn't want to highjack Johns thread so I moved here to comment on Bob's post.

For you younger members without a lot of foresight, I can't express how important it is to have a 401 and to see a good financial planer. You will be surprised how you can accumulate money that will give you a comfortable retirement or retire sooner. I know it's harder now then when I was was saving wit the economy the way it is but you can still build a nice nest-egg and you also will be able to do more things when your an  %$oldcit

I started my IRA at the age of 21. At the time I was working as an Apprentice Mechanic. Unfortunately for me Lyme Disease/Arthritis caused me to retire at 59. Because I started my retirement savings at an early age, I will be financially OK. I am glad I listened to the advice of a wise elderly man!

Again, NOW you tell me about this word "Retirement", JackWagen?  I KNEW I should have invested in that FLamingo farm when I had a chance, I never would have guessed the future value of Flamingo Poop......

Dang it........
