Good afternoon members! I am so happy to have found this site!
My twin brother and I turn 50 this July 14th. He has been ill for many years now, and while in the hospital a while back, he had mentioned how awesome it would be if he and I attended the Roger Waters "The Wall" show together @ Citizen Bank Park, since it was on our actual birthday. I couldn't pass this glorious opportunity up! What a great idea he had, and I am honored that he wanted to spend it with me! Great memories will be made! When I surprised him with the tickets, he was elated. Informed me that due to his health, we would have great parking in the handicap parking area, I responded, it's our 50th birthday, we are going in style! Promising him a limo ride for the occassion.
As I was searching out limo services, a thought came to my mind. Wouldn't it be wonderful if instead of a limo, we went in a VW Bus? I should explain................my brother has only one thing on his "bucket list" and has dreamed of it for years. He wants only to buy a VW Bus, fix it up, and travel to San Francisco one summer! He talks of that often. Anyway, I thought to myself, how blown away will he be if our chariot that evening is a VW Bus opposed to a limo?
Years ago, when I married, instead of a limo, I had 2 Model T's, since I had a Victorian Wedding. I searched for these vehicles and found a chapter located in Hershey that was able to put me in contact with local residents who were able to assist me. And all before the computer age I might add! Where there is a will, there is always a way, right? I found this site, and quickly joined. I hope you don't mind that I am not an actual owner of a VW Bus.
Is there anyone out there that would be willing to be our chaufefer in their VW Bus? If so, please contact me and we can discuss cost, date, time, etc. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
Susan
