Thanksgiving Plans?
« on: November 22, 2013, 05:44:53 pm »

Since next week is Thanksgiving, I thought I'd ask what everyone's plans are.

~Do you have it at your house, or do you go someplace?
~Do you eat in the afternoon or evening?
~How many people usually attend?
~Whats your special dish?
~Do you fall asleep after you eat?!

I'll start..   we're going to the inlaws for deep fried turkey and all the trimmings..   eat.gi+]    We eat in the early afternoon, only six people,  and I like to bring corn casserole or corn bread..depends on my mood.   No,  I don't fall asleep,  Im too busy cleaning up.

Our Son and Daughter-in-Law took over Thanksgiving Dinner last year. Our family and her family meet and eat at their house. We all bring a side dish and desserts. Dinner includes fried turkey, roast turkey, roast ham, mac and cheese, pineapple casserole, a couple of kinds of cranberry sauce, green beans, salad and of course plenty of pumpkin pie! About 40 family members will attend. I'll try not to eat too much, but it's not easy!  %$oldcit
Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I'll be kicking it at the beach and skipping the turkey, and having crabs!!!! one has a great

This is a first for me, we usually do a big thing at my parents, but it is a bit too much for them, so my sister and her family, our parents, my daughter and I are off to West Palm Beach!!!

Plans are up in the air still for us on Thanksgiving day as extended family goes to inlaws, but will have Thanksgiving a day or so later...mid-afternoon.... do not prefer a late dinner on that day... too much cleaning up............
the usual stuff, and some not so usual............. but cannot top the "any critters" meal.  Happy thanksgiving everyone!
