Just holler.

Beet, go with hardwood floor. Much easier to clean. Put a rubber-backed thow rug on top.

Co-worker's husband is a manager at Home Depot, they had 2 boxes of Maple Lock Flooring that are discontinued. Might be able to get me a good price on them. Trying to do some small things while I save up to get the bug back on the road.

Thanks to Jack and the P.O. of the 75 Bus I got all the answers I needed.
Funny I talked to the P.O on the phone (Joan found him on a site she uses) Very nice 73 year "young" guy. He not only gave me the whole history of the bus and where he bought it with 29170 miles on it,  but who he gave it to (Big Jay & Ralph) In fact he had the motor rebuilt in the 80's and is sending me all the repair bills etc. The biggest suprise was that we met many years ago and are going to keep in touch.
That to me, was almost as good as me working on my buses.  :icon_cheers:

You do know you don't have to fix everything by yourself.
It's OK to request assistance on jobs that might be out of your league

OH I almost forgot....

Cleaned up the under-hood hatch area, then Jack came to visit. He diagnose a sloppy steering box on the Meanie, I showed him some of the really cool bling it's getting. He checked out the Thang and we pulled the cover off of the Pushmepullyou and had a great laugh

With the warmer temps, I finally replaced the starter. I don't have to hit it with a hammer any more.

Fixed fuel lines, good for a year till I re-do them again. Don't ask, I'm paranoid when it comes to fuel fires.

Fog Lights & CB Antenna
« Reply #419 on: July 02, 2010, 02:56:25 pm »

Scored some NOS still in the box Old School Sears quartz halogen fog lights on Ebay for $10.50 How old are they you may ask, well their made in Japan

Needed an antenna for my CB. Up until the time I was in the store I was still up in the air as to temporary magnet mount or permanent surface mount. I went for the surface mount & glad I did. I love the look.

Next is a trip to see Shawn to tune it
