Yuma, Check to see if the rear rubber hose is holding pressure to the wheel cylinder. Sometimes a flap is created inside the hose from deteriorating rubber. If there is pressure at the bleeder after releasing the pedal, it can be a bad hose. I agree if one is bad, replace both. If not check the wheel cylinder pistons for corrosion. It can cause the pistons to stick out especially when hot.
Good luck,
Bob

I agree with Bob, more likely the rubber hose, very common repair. Second would be wheel cyl. The steel brake line can rust through but not likely to clog.
I don't have to go to work in the morning....

Yea, might as well check the integrity of the metal line, I had that happen once, when I moved the metal brake line  back and forth it crimped right up - was rusting on the inside

Thanks Guys for the advise.    =+grouphu9   i figured that all the lines have
been in place since 1967, it must be time to replace them.
Found that one of the steel lines has a notch worn in it from
rubbing on the flange of the big rubber bumper on the axle.
Will keep you posted on the progress.
It is actually raining in the desert today, good day to work in
the garage.

Thanks again for the comments

Long day yesterday, but i got alot completed!
I finished cutting the pods for the dunebuggy to fit tightly. It was such a nice day, i took my bug out the garage and did some trimming at the top of the pods so that the bottom is flushed with the body. My next step is to cut a hole in the inner side of the body to attach a pipe under the body to run my wiring. Then i can glass-in the pods, permanently. I was watching where my hood is bolted is hidden from view, so now i have to figure out how i can attach the hood in a different way. I might be making a studded plate to attach the hood up by the windshield area. This would make it more sturdier from rattling.
