Added oil, replaced over flow coolant tube, cleaned underside of hood, installed hood, installed wipers, removed jack stands and placed on dollys. Waiting on downpipe.

Took off old windshield seal on the MugBug.  Treated and primed... (trick - keep the old windshield in while you do this, less mess inside. Just cut away old seal with sharp razor knife)

Painted the wheels with Gloss Black R------------M.

Idiot move #1 today - got out grease gun to lube up the front end... went nipple-hunting and ummm, its a Super Beetle...

Idiot move #2 today - Switched out headlights with new Halogens, installed the first one, tested low and high beams, blew out bulb on low beams. Replaced bulb and tested again.. Blew out bulb on low beams, highs fine. Scratched head... looked at box ... what a dumb-azz... here's the box, anybody see why?

Installed shocks, brake lines, type III rear brakes, rear sway bar, rear trans output shaft seal and punched bolt holes in the pan gasket. The last 6 pictures show the latest work. Last two picts show why I choose type III rear brakes.

Well, I guess I'm going to be one of the "fair weather" types , Jack...  #@rofl3

I tried (unsuccessfully of course) to get my trunk to close....   it's not adjusted right.  Put some parts in new boxes so they aren't in the ratty, falling apart boxes anymore.

Peltzer came over and helped put the tork converter bolts in and worked on the wiring some. We think it's all hooked up correctly.   Tightend the
motor bolts. That top drivers side is a  shootgun bugger to get at.   I don't have to go to  >glenn

tomorrow so I am going to get a battery and some ATF fluid.   Wow cool thanks for the icon Jack.

Cheers
