Nhaaaa, its been too hot, you sweated your a** off, getting discussed and wore down. Let it sit for another month when it cools off and we'll bring it to my garage take it apart and start fresh. Can?t let a little ol engine beat yha down.

We can do it now, the garage isn?t hot, so pull it and I?ll bring my truck up and someone to help lift it, we?ll get that sucker running.

I don't know what happened, I got it to start after some loose f.I. Conections. It ran fine, I increased the rpm,s to about 2000. It was a little smokey, but it was like that last time.
After 10 minutes the center of the muffler was getting pretty hot. It just stalled out. The oil light never came on.

Put it aside for awhile.  I felt the same way a few weeks back with BlueBelle. Just work on something else  or take a rest and do nothing...

HAY, it ran and now all we have to do is find out why it quits.

I would hope that the center of the muffler would get so hot that you can't touch it after 10 min, if it didn't then you would have a problem.

The oil you used to lubricate the pistons when you put it back together will burn off, don't worry about smoking, got to find the bad sensor or what ever that is stopping it from running, so don't pull the engine. I'll talk to George at the meeting tomorrow night and see what he thinks it could be.

It is locked up. The starter can't turn the motor.

I pulled the engine last night. If I get out of jury duty anytime soon I can start talking the engine apart.

Thanks pete, for the parts offer. I was going to start dissasemble tonight but I got stuck in jury duty. All I had time for was cleaning off the mustang. I guess this thread is dead.

Chris, let me pick it up and take it apart down here, maybe we can make a club project out of it.

It's better if you have someone else checking it as it comes apart to see what happened to it. John said he would go with me and help put it on the truck.

Dunno if it helps at all but I was offered a free 914.  Body is toast but drivetrain is good.  Dont really need it or have time to go get it but if you feel like a daytrip to go get it I can hook ya up with the info (its in CT).

Make a club trip, surely someone else could use the disk brakes. The 5 speed has interesting possibilities.  I'd like the steering rack if possible.

should be the 1.8 motor.
