Well I drove over to the Haddon Twp community event with a 'car show'. If you call 20 cars a show. Came back home and went to work assembling more of the Mustang.

Well,,,,

Replaced back shocks after soaking nuts for hours with WD-40 - DONE

Replaced coil - DONE!!!

Finished back seat top and bottom reupholstery. DONE , when they say watch those sharp hooks, I guess they mean it. :icon_cheers:

Was going to end the day just pulling the front seats, getting ready to do them over. Not quite.. OK, whats the deal with these things? These I think come out the back rails, so I  released the lever, and stuck a screwdriver under the center rail, pushing down on what i think was a spring... No such luck. I just spent more time on this then pulling a shock... @7@- Maybe I'm tired, or too stupid..

Theres gotta be a trick here  gifsawsall

Slide the seat all the way foward. On the inside of the seat rail ( the side next to the heat controls) look on the seat rails for a 1 1/2" long metal tab on top of the rail (you may need a flashlight to see it) Using a screwdriver, press down on the back end of this "spring" and push the seat foward at the same time. Sometimes the seats can be a little stubborn. Usually because the plastic rail gaurd is broken or missing ( with it, the seat slides on the plastic, without it it slides metal on metal) If the seat doesnt move foward, have somebody hold down the spring while you are pushing foward on the base. I have even used a rubber mallet on the seat legs because I can never get help in my house.  Once you have the seat out, check to see if you have the plastic guards on the rails or not. You dont need to have them but it does make them easier to move. Either way, before you put it back together- axle grease up the rails.

  Drove my convert.

Until I do some experiments or see some, I consider PB blaster being better than WD40 all hype.
I used WD40 in the past and it did great on rusted nuts&bolts. Just because PB can eat through styrofoam cups  if that is all they can advertise it means squat. This will be winter project
