That's what I thought (Jack Nap) but I didn't want Tracy to know.

Staring is all part of the process.

Helps you to determine "enough's enough"...

It prevents you from "going too far"...

The VWs you can sleep in are more gooder

Painted Exhaust Components...

Yes I know I should've used header paint, no I don't really care right now if it will burn off. When it does ill spray it with VLT.

Started messing with my sliding door, wanted to check to see if it actually had a slider guide...

The main problem was that it doesn't kick out when the door latch is turned. so you have to literally grab the door and pull it out towards you... it's really fun late at night when you need to use bathroom!

it does but barely...

I was thinking the rollar should have groves on BOTH sides? But I guess when the guide is good the guide keeps  the roller on the track. The only thing keeping my door on the track was the rain guard. I went to open it and the whole door almost fell into my hand.

No clue what this is for...

Spring that shot out and almost hit me!

Some shots for people who know what they are looking at IE: Jack, John, Shawn, Bob etc.

Let me know if something doesn't seem right, maybe I'll just buy a whole used assembly on Samba.

Door before I realized that the top roller came off the track!

Thanks for any help you can give, going to read my Bentley tonight.

It's confirmed... definantly the wrong roller. Going to order from bus boys tomorrow. Could find the guide on the bus depot site. Been having trouble finding everything in one location!

Hey beet, when I had BlueBelle, I seem to remember a JackWagen video that I watched to rebuild the slider to make that bus the exquisite machine it was. You may want to search for that video.

Well...George came over and did a quick job assessment on Eeyore's beat exhaust system. Unfortunately while underneath he discovered that it's head gasket time. Since there's already a broken stud to deal with, it doesn't make sense not to combine the jobs

George is the epitome of VW mechanics... just a few hours later.....

Details of the rebuild will go up on my Blog...

Attached the new exhaust to the motor was all set to put the muffler on... than I realized that it is about an inch off where the exhaust meets the headers. Switching the sides didn't help. UGH.

Hay Beet, I believe Shawn has a complete door spring/latch setup that he got from me, if he don't need it.

Took the MugBug out for a ride today.  Parked for 3 months and it starts on the second try! These cars are really amazing
