At the monthly meeting the inaugural DUB & Dine Event was announced, to be held on November 21. DUB & Dine is an event held on the third Thursday each month until the spring Ice Cream Cruses start.
The idea behind the event:
As many of you may already know I am a bit of a foodie, with a love for finding and trying small unique restaurants in the local area. So after chatting with a few members about food, the idea for DUB & Dine came to life.
DUB & Dine is designed to take members on an adventure together. Trying different cuisines from all around the world, but found in our area. Primarily we want to find small venue, unique establishments. We hope this will be the start of a culinary journey for club members taken together. So, lets step out of our comfort zone and try something new, worst case, if you hate it, throw it out and get Pizza!
DUB & Dine is going to be member driven, so we will need your suggestions for local eateries that offer world cuisine. While working on the idea we have discussed, Indian Food, Traditional Mexican, Ecuadorian, Thai, and more!
Our Events Coordinator Greg will create a thread for Suggestions in Events.
The inaugural DUB & Dine will be to a Vietnamese PHO Restaurant. I'm excited since I have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant before. And if I don't like it, I'll get pizza on the way home, and check it off my list of cuisines to try.
As always driving a VW to the event is not a requirement, but it sure would be nice to fill up a parking lot with our DUBs!!!!
