Do you have a nice bend in the preload tube?

Did you try pushing up and down on the tail pipes to see if the front mount was bad?

Tail pipe step seemes ok... Bend IDK prob could use some more.

Eeeek...

Cable clips in a "butt-splice" might slip. A loop in each cable would be better but, any port in a storm

I agree Any Port in a Storm.
weld the cable with that set up on it so it wont slip

Now That sounds like a IDEA...Thanks
Cheers

:jump4jo":  Installed a set of coil over shocks to help the rear sag.  Much better ride.  I am interested in adjusting the rear springs.  Has anyone done it?  Doesn't seem to hard after reading the service manual.  But then again everything seems easy on paper!

Getting antsy, think I'll take the strap on a cruise to nowhere after I mow the lawn.

After two years of struggling with a miserable, shifting Dunebuggy I finally got to replacing the Empi shifter with another Empi shifter.

WOW! It's a pleasure to shift now. No guessing, before when I shifted to second, I didn't know if I would hit reverse, second or fourth?
Now, when I down shifts from third to second, it  actually goes to second gear and the reverse lockout ring works too.

The new one, it's just new to me, I bought it at the Campbelltown swap meet. It looks exactly like the old one except the old one just rattles around the shifting gate. The new/used one is a very tight unit and looks like it had very little use.   :jump4jo":

The wife and I went to the Evergreen Dairy Bar on RT 70 about 2 miles west of RT 206 and the Red Lion Diner. There were about two  dozen hot rods there and only one VW. US! bawlin)0

Had my tires stolen. =-(

Lucky for me, the person who stole them replaced them with D-Rated tires.

Why didn't anybody tell me how great the right tires feel? You guys were holding out, I'm very disappointed!

Not Sure What happned leaving the Meeting at Taylers. As I turned to go down 42 north. It sounded like I floated a Valve. Next thing I know I have No power in the engine.  Limped it home It was knockin and pinging like Mad.   -eyescan.=  Pulled the valve covers. I don't think #3 intake valve is  moving.   }sos{  Checked all the plugs #3 was weird compared to the rest.  bawlin)0 &(rage_ bawlin)0 ?/banghea?/
